March 18, 2018 Bryan Adams Senior Mathew Nagbe was selected as a scholar athlete of the year by the National Football Foundation.  The National Football Foundation along with running the College Football Hall of Fame also is a leader in the promotion of football in this country.  Their mission statement is; "To promote and development the power of amateur football in developing the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, competitive zeal and the drive for academic excellence in America's young people."  56 senior football players from across North Texas were selected to represent this goal.  The awards banquet also honored north texas coaches, college football players and prominent community members.  Mathew will be attending Texas A&M's School of Engineering this fall and without a doubt be a very successful young man.  Mathew's head football coach Sean Lorance was in attendance as well.  Coach Lorance said of Mathew; "I could not be more proud of Mathew, he exemplifies everything the National Football Foundation and Bryan Adams High School hold dear in our nations high school athletes."
