Check Presentation Distributors and representatives from the AdvoCare Foundation present REAL School Gardens with a $25,000 check as part of the AdvoCare Foundation's 2017 beneficiary program. Photo courtesy of the AdvoCare Foundation.

On Thursday, November 16, more than 30 local AdvoCare distributors and representatives from the AdvoCare Foundation, including Allison Levy, President of the AdvoCare Foundation Board of Directors and Executive Vice President at AdvoCare, and Jenni Ragus McGaha of the AdvoCare founding family, joined REAL School Gardens in a variety of restoration activities to rejuvenate the learning garden at the Charles Rice Learning Center in south Dallas, including:

  • Installing new learning features like white boards, weather vanes, tool sheds and earth science stations
  • Cleaning, planting and mulching vegetable and flower beds to prepare them for the next growing season
  • Cleaning water features, turning compost, painting sheds and shade structures, and performing other garden maintenance

This comes after the AdvoCare Foundation, which focuses on the safety and health of children in need through a focus on fighting childhood obesity, recently made a $25,000 donation to REAL School Gardens as part of its 2017 beneficiary program. The contribution was given with an official check presentation following the restoration activities.
