Mixology Mondays classes are hosted weekly at The Parlor, inside Sheraton Dallas, from 5-6pm. The cocktail featured varies weekly and reservations are required. The cost is $30/per person which does not include tax and gratuity. The interactive mixology classes are led by the hotels talented Mixologist, Adam, who has explored more than 43 countries and worked at luxury properties and bars across the world. Guests can have fun mixing a cocktail and then enjoy the delicious creation. Reservations are required.

Hughes Family Tribute Center will host a 10-week Dementia Care-Partner Support Group beginning Tuesday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m. and continuing through Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Care partners who are interested in attending the support group are asked to register to attend and pay $25.00 (plus tax and processing fees) to cover the cost of the workbook and class materials. Limited scholarships are available.

The more people who are compassionate to the dementia care partner from the outside in, the more they are capable of being self-compassionate from the inside out."

Each weekly session will cover different aspects of caring for someone with dementia. For example, topics during the first three weeks include:

- The first week will introduce the hosts of the group, distribute the Dementia Care-Partner Workbook to those that registered, and begin discussions of what the group will experience and learn over the next 10 weeks.

- The second week will begin a foundation to understand and learn about what dementia is, how it is diagnosed, the various forms of dementia, and much more.

- Week 3 will discuss the key parts of the brain and their functions, defining activities of daily living, and the different stages of dementia from mild cognitive impairment to late-stage dementia. This week builds on top of Week 2's discussion of what dementia is and how it impacts the mind and physical body.

Filled with sharp humor, heartfelt moments and eccentric small-town characters, the world premiere production is written by Dallas playwrights Patty Pell and Laurie Grigsby and directed by acclaimed playwright and filmmaker Del Shores. Presented by Clark, Pell & King Productions.

Plague Mask Players back with the amazing AT&T Performing Arts Centers Elevator Project to present 'Alice' a variation on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland', by playwright, Ara Vito, and directed by Samantha Calatozzo Cobb. This production will be the Texas premiere of this exciting new work, and Plague Mask Players is thrilled to be the first to bring it to life for DFW audiences. The play received second place for the Harold and Mimi Steinberg National Student Playwriting Award through the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF).

Grant Halliburton Foundation and Center for BrainHealth, part of The University of Texas at Dallas, are partnering to present Journey: The Art and Legacy of Grant Halliburton, an exhibition on view Sept. 825 at the Center for BrainHealth. Journey will feature more than 50 of Grants original paintings, charcoal works, drawings and sketches, along with selections from his personal writings and poetry and a Listening Lounge featuring music he wrote and recorded with his high school bandmates. The exhibition will span three floors of the Center for BrainHealths Brain Performance Institute building. A preview on the first floor will welcome visitors and introduce the exhibition, with most of the collection and accompanying elements displayed on the second and third floors.

The exhibition will be open to the public Sept. 8th through 25th on Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. Appointments are available on other weekdays by calling Center for BrainHealth at 972-883-3400. On September 12, 2026, Samuel Lynne Galleries presents the first public exhibition of Reflectionism, a new American art movement more than 25 years in the making.

Founded in Dallas by artist JD Miller in 2001, Reflectionism is rooted in the belief that an artists intention, energy, and physical process are reflected within the work. Created in oil with palette knives, these paintings possess a sculptural dimension that shifts with light, movement, and perspective, an experience that cannot be fully captured in a photograph.

For this landmark exhibition, all nine founding Reflectionist artists will come together for the first time, united by one philosophy and marking a defining moment in art history.

The exhibition features JD Miller, Philip Romano, Lea Fisher, Carrie Cameron, Sharon Virts, Renea Menzies, Sue Yu Petty, Kelly Steller Hrad, and Tanner Lawley.
